Genesis 8 & 20 says: “And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.”
Exodus 20:24-26, for instance, the altar was to be made “of earth or
stone that had not been shaped or cut with human hands” and “there were to be no steps up to the altar.”
TIME TO GET THE ASHES OFF THE ALTAR!”
