Things are almost back in full swing at Fox Street Church of God. A LOT of exciting things are happening!
This introduction has plenty apocalyptic language in it, but the apocalypses that are referred to are ones of the past. There is a huge transition of some 3,600 years’ time from present to past. If you are not careful, you will miss it. The transition is made in the original text at verse 20. So, what two apocalyptic events (God’s Divine Judgment) could Paul be referring to? Two stories fit the descriptions:

Well . . . we did have a busy week planned! We did start the week out on a great footing as there was a fantastic service with the Glory Way Quartet!!
During any crisis, we have a firm foundation. Our faith is in God and God’s provision. We are not to live in fear but through prayer we can find God’s peace. We can help reduce people’s anxiety through prayerful, informed counsel, and by having a plan of action that will be in their best interest.
